He was just thankful that his brothers didn’t mind coming over to look after their kids for the night. Because, who knows what was going to happen with Melissa and Austen that evening? The male really was going to try his hardest to do all he could to make things better between the two of them because he hated that they had become so distant. It was almost as bad as the time when she had left the boy all alone with Faith and he was just glad that she hadn’t done that again. He wouldn’t blame her though —- Melissa just hadn’t been ready to have a family yet. The two of them headed straight to his car, Austen already knew exactly the way that he was going to be driving to that night. “I’m not gunna tell you, it’s a surprise babe.” He smirked, he really did want to keep this a secret from her. The two of them had been to the park so long ago and the last time they had gone, things had gone down then. “Yeah, you’re dressed fine for where we’re going, don’t you worry.” He reassured her, he wasn’t going to mention the fact that he had actually personally asked for the park to be closed so it was just for the two of them that evening.

{ ❥ };; “I hate you,” Melissa muttered as her eyes rolled to the back of her head, though she still had a smile on her lips. The worst thing that could happen to her were surprises. Or well, someone telling her that there was a surprise but not telling her what it was. It was just the most annoying thing ever to the brunette and she always got impatient; and Austen knew that damn well — probably the reason why he was even doing it. Once she was settled down on the passenger seat, Melissa looked over at him once again, her lips forming into a smile yet again. “I love you,” she whispered as she literally just stared at him, taking in every single one of his features. It had been so long since they had a moment to just…look at each other like that, so the female was really enjoying all of this. “And though I hate you for not telling me where we’re going, I’m glad you’re taking me somewhere. It’s been a while that we spent some time together without any interruption,” Melissa muttered, her hand actually reaching over to his just to be able to hold it for a couple of seconds while she was telling him this. If she wanted to stay with him, she honestly had to take every chance to save their relationship; and that was what Melissa was going to do.
